Mrs. Morrow's grade 3 kids harvest and package the second last batch of Arugula and Beets for Project Pickle and Delta School District's "Green for Greens " program. The bags of fresh produce are sold directly to the parents and caregivers of the children and up on the dinner plate. The proceeds from this marketing effort go right back to the school to invest in school neighbourhood farm equipment and improvements. Talk about eating local!!
